Desires and Dreams

In our lives we all have different types of desires and dreams
Sometimes it is nearly impossible to know what they mean
Sure we would want them to be straight forward and clear cut
And often we soon realize that the pursuit can leave us in a rut
But can we afford not to chase the things we want so bad?
After all, this can lead us down a path of going mentally and emotionally mad
It is safe to say that you never know where your efforts will lead
However believing it all will pay off must be part of your creed
Because a life without faith and hope for the better
Is a life in which your purpose and worth have become untethered
Never give up on the dreams and desires you want most
Because once they’re realized it will truly warrant a grand ole boast
Now remember sacrifice and compromise is going to be inevitable
Just know what awaits on the other side will make this fact not so terrible
And since your existence will be changed for the remained of your days
There is nothing left to say except it will be imperative to give HIM all the due praise!
